Avonline provided Satellite Broadband via ViaSAT and Avanti. An average day would consist of assisting many customers with resolving connectivity issues and other issues that they may be facing on their broadband, using diagnostic tools such as Force Ranging, Ping, Terminal Controls and data usage graphs, as well as DNS, Reverse DNS, MX and Mail Server checking as well as IP addressing management and blacklisting. During my time, myself and a colleague also developed "MyAvonline", a customer facing portal with Admin management for Tickets that allowed customers to view their Service Data Usage, and perform self-diagnostics. Providing support over the phone and with remote desktop tools, I was quickly promoted and became Internal Escalations Manager from my previous experience with Servers. This helped accelerate my learning for Azure, In-Tune and managing Windows Servers.
